The Antakya International Film Festival Begins Its Journey to Become a Meeting Point for Mediterranean Cinema
The Mediterranean has for centuries been a geography where cultures, languages, and stories intersect.
Today, this shared memory comes together once again in Antakya through the language of cinema.
In its 14th year, the Antakya International Film Festival sets out with a renewed vision:
to position Antakya as the meeting point of Mediterranean cinema.
As part of the festival, which will take place on October 2–8, 2026, the newly launched Mediterranean Cinema Meeting will bring together filmmakers, producers, fund representatives, and cultural institutions from across the region in Antakya.
The festival aims to be more than a film screening event. Through co-production meetings, project presentations, industry panels, and international networking activities, it seeks to establish a regional cinema platform with long-term impact.
Within the scope of the Mediterranean Cinema Meeting, a limited number of selected projects will have the opportunity to meet international professionals for co-production and development opportunities. In doing so, Antakya will take an important step toward becoming a strategic center not only for artistic production but also for the film industry.
With its renewed logo and expanded vision, the Antakya International Film Festival aims to build a strong cinematic bridge extending from the Mediterranean to the world.
The 14th Antakya International Film Festival will be held in Antakya from October 2–8, 2026.
