Dear Cinema Lovers,

Antakya 11th International Film Festival, which will be held with the contributions of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the organization of the Ansam Cultural Association, will be held in Antakya on 13 – 19 October 2023.

Our festival aims to bring together world cinema in Antakya, contribute to the development and promotion of the cinema art, provide the local community with an opportunity to meet artists and their works through artistic events, promote the production of film works through film competitions, and contribute to the meeting of produced works with their audiences.
We are deeply sorry by the earthquake disaster in our country. We believe that we will come out of these difficult days with help and solidarity. We will organize the Antakya Film Festival, which we started in 2013, in the same place, in the tent and container camps.

Using the healing power of art, we want to both continue the festival and provide some psychological relief to the people living in Antakya. We want the people living here to think and see beautiful things outside of the disaster and rubble.

This year, figures from the Turkish cinema industry, Yeşilçam will be staying in the tents and container camps. They will chat with the locals and watch movies together.

It is our greatest desire to try to make people who experienced the earthquake in Antakya, forgets the pain through the unifying and healing power of art, via our festival.
